Thailand Urban Rail Supporting Road Project

Project Summary
Supporting-road package for an urban rail expansion corridor in Bangkok, covering subgrade compaction, temporary access roads, station-area municipal lanes, and maintenance road restoration with staged delivery under dense urban traffic constraints.
This project served a core urban-rail expansion corridor in Bangkok and focused on all supporting-road systems surrounding station construction and utility relocation zones. The implementation scope included temporary traffic-diversion roads, station-access roads, and permanent municipal supporting lanes, with strict sequencing requirements to keep city traffic functioning during daytime peak hours.
Huiteng supplied a coordinated package centered on compact road rollers, plate compactors, and joint-cutting equipment, supported by vibration and density process recommendations. Based on local high temperature and frequent rainfall conditions, the compaction workflow was adjusted by layer thickness, rolling pass strategy, and edge treatment standards for narrow sections near pedestrian and utility interfaces.
The project team adopted section-based night construction windows and rapid handover standards. Our equipment maintained stable output under continuous shifts, helping the contractor complete over 48 kilometers of supporting-road construction and rehabilitation works on schedule while keeping rework rates at a low level.
Beyond equipment delivery, Huiteng provided startup commissioning guidance, operator training, and spare parts response planning for high-frequency urban operations. The client highlighted improvements in compaction consistency, schedule control, and maintenance efficiency, and subsequently planned to reuse the same equipment portfolio in follow-up municipal phases.
